Some More Things That I Love

1. Two hour lunches with my mom. (and servers that don't have a fit when we stay that long!)
2. Sleepovers at Grandma's house. That's where Mallory and Brantley are tonight. Thanks Cathy!
3. Baylee's other family. That's where she is tonight (and last night as well!) Thanks Tami!
4. Shopping trips with my big girls. Thanks for the cookie Belinda!
5. Some of our very best friends and the best double date out there! Thanks Kurtis and Kim!
6. The following videos. The first is Mallory at age two at Belinda's choir concert. I apologize in advance for the music. Belinda was not singing this one by the way! The second is Brantley, about seven months, playing in the sprinkler. I'm not sure why but I've been thinking about these for the past couple of days.

Happy Birthday Dad/Grandpa!

Wow, does my mom know how to throw a party or what! This evening was a fun one full of food and presents and really neat letters to Grandpa. The big 6-0! I'd say you don't look a day over 40 Dad, but with Kendall turning 40 next year I have to admit you do look a little older than that to me! But not much! And I must say, you were very photogenic tonight! Love you!

Yeah, nice sweatband. Mom, make sure he doesn't wear this in public please!
Party on party people let me hear some noise...............
Brantley is a champion candle blower outer. We could all learn a thing or two from her!
The balloon drop! A perfect end to a perfect evening!
Grandpa's birthday card provided great entertainment!
I guess I really should have invested in dance lessons!

Do you want to know a secret?

Well, that's just too bad because I am not going to tell you what it is! I will tell you this much though, Kendall and I have a secret project underway. It's a big one and I'm sure everyone will know when we are done because we plan to broadcast it to the world! And NO, it is NOT another baby! (I know all of you were thinking it!) It will take at least as long as a baby would though so ask us how it's going occasionally please. Ooh, now you're curious aren't you?

Now entering the Blogosphere!

Okay, I have been enjoying the Blogs of friends and family for a while now and since I'm not sure exactly how to get started I am going to borrow some of my favorite things from some of my favorite Blogs. So, here we go:

What is on my iPod right now?
1. Josh Groban
2. Michael Buble
3. Chris Daughtry
4. And of course HARRY! (Connick Jr. that is) Check him out in "P.S. I Love You" with Hillary Swank "I think you're hot!.........Sorry, I have a syndrome!" By the way Lisa and Dad, check out the scene where the two of them meet for lunch at Ouest. That is our booth that they are sitting in! Way cool!

Can you tell I like crooners?

What do I watch on TV? Okay, trick question because we do not have cable. But, there are some shows that I have been watching online after the fact.
1. House-I have seen every episode of every season of this one. Love it!
2. Lost-Ditto though I am really starting to hate it! ( that doesn't mean I'll stop watching)
3. The Office- New to this one but what's not to like about Steve Carell?

Five things I love: (besides the obvious)
1. Jane Austen novels -I have read every single one of them.
2. My new candy apple red washer and dryer-Thanks hon!
3. Tennis, but only doubles. Singles is too quiet.
4. My tiny little house.
5. My great big bathtub!

Five things I do not love:
1. Mean people.
2. Gas prices.
3. Weeds.
4. Migraines.
5. Clutter.

What's with that title?

So, why the lame title? I was lamenting to Kendall that I would love to have a blog of my own but I wasn't sure what I had to say that would make it worth it. He has always encouraged me to write a book and asked me if the blog might help me organize my thoughts into something that might one day become that book. I jokingly said that I didn't think anyone would want to read a book about the random ramblings from a mother of 5....He got that look in his eye that means " I knew if I let you ramble on long enough you would come to the perfect solution!" He does know me better than I know myself!
